Careers in the Cruise Industry
Careers onboard cruise ships provide a fantastic
opportunity for travel, in combination with the tax benefits of
being based on the high seas. However, there are stringent
requirements that applicants must pass in order to be eligible for a
ship-board career.
Some of these include:
• You must be at least 21 years old to work
on cruise ships
• You must have a clean criminal record
• You must be able to pass a thorough
medical - you will also need to be fit enough to pass sea survival
courses
• You must be able to obtain the necessary
visas
• You must be prepared to be away at sea
for a minimum of 4-7 months
